Nicole
Poirier, a Principal with the firm, brings a wealth of
leadership experience to our search team. In this role she partners
with Tom Foster, Senior Vice President to conduct Executive and
Board Searches and she also assist Lili-Ann Foster, President, in
the Governance practice.
Previously, Ms Poirier launched and led the Learning & Development
department at Dell Canada, Ottawa. As the Senior Learning &
Development Manager, her responsibilities included leadership in-class
training, leadership development and career coaching. In-class training
incorporated courses such as Behavioural Interviewing, Change Management,
Presentation skills, Ethics, Integrity and Diversity and Competency
based Performance. Career coaching was for the purposes of strengthening
performance development and leadership development. Some of the
assessment tools used in career coaching included 360 feedbacks,
Myers Briggs and Change Management Indicators. Ms Poirier was equally
responsible for planning, coordinating and leading the Leadership
Succession planning and Key talent development. Over these two years,
Ms Poirier contributed to two major global leadership programs and
was able to launch five new leadership programs. In addition, a
Canada-wide Dell L&D newsletter was created by her team and
distributed to all managers.
Her prior experience includes 18 years at Ford of Canada under
the Ford Credit and Primus Automotive umbrella where she obtained
knowledge and experience in Management, Automotive Finance, Learning
& Development and Operations. During this term, Ms Poirier was
credited for launching the Learning & Development department
and a Central Collection department. As Learning & Development
Manager, she facilitated all systems and leadership in class training.
Once a Front line manager, Ms Poirier assisted in recruiting, interviewing
and hiring for several departments in the call center As a Senior
Operation Manager, Ms Poirier received Six Sigma training and has
been Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
Ms Poirier is bilingual and has obtained a Bachelor Administration
from Ottawa University. Nicole is also a member of the RF Network
for Executive Women and the Women’s Executive Network (WXN).
