Tom Foster is one of the founding principals of Renaud Foster. Mr. Foster is the firm's Senior Vice-President and Corporate Secretary and leads the Executive Search practice. He has managed the most senior and sensitive national and international recruitment assignments handled by the firm for most of its history. Mr. Foster is also a key resource in Renaud Foster's corporate governance practice and has participated in the design and facilitation of corporate governance retreats for a number of clients. He brings over twenty years' experience in human resources consulting to both the private and public sectors and has been a speaker regarding the “Recruitment Challenges in the Public Sector”.

Prior to Renaud Foster, Mr. Foster's experience was gained from fifteen years in general management and human resources, including the commercial management of international projects for mandates in Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. His background is supported by significant expertise accumulated in engineering and manufacturing environments.

An active member of the community, Mr. Foster is currently the past President and Chair of the Governance and Finance Committees for Rideauwood Addiction and Family Services; he is also a member of the Board of the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group and is Vice-Chair of its Audit Committee and a resource to the Governance and Finance Committees. He has also been a member of the Children's Aid Society of Ottawa and has been involved with several groups including Friends of Schizophrenics and the Canada-Japan Society of Ottawa where he served for 6 years as President and then Past President.

Mr. Foster is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (cum laude) from Concordia University. He is fluently bilingual in English and French, and also speaks Spanish with notions of German and several other languages.
